POSITIVE NEWS We'll start by saying well done to the team for getting an 88% pass rate in the phonics screening check. Considering there has been a pandemic - these are brilliant results. Well done to all.
THANKS Well done to all staff involve in curriculum conversation and the EYFS visits earlier this week. We've recieved some really positive feedback which demonstrate the great job you're all doing.

MYON ASSESSMENTS To be completed next week please.
NATIVITY UPDATES We have received information that we can go ahead with nativity with some minor restrictions :)
PHONICS ASSESSMENTS Reception will be assessed next week, followed by Year 1. If you run a phonics group in KS2, then please speak to Becky to arrange having your children assessed. Also, well done to Year 2, who achieved above national :)
PANTOMIME is on Friday. Please can we set off at: 9.20am Please can Year 6 walk with Reception and set off first. Please can you liaise with parents of children with EHCPs to discuss safety when walking / change in routine / how they will manage at a noisy pantomime. The office have purchased chocolate bars for snacks - please check allergies in your class. More info to follow.
IEPs are due to be reviewed and updated. We have been checking through them and feel that some of the targets could be made a little more meaningful to match the child's needs, so please really think carefully how we are going to be supporting each child to reach their potential. IEPs also need to be shared with parents, so they know what their child is working on and what extra things will help at home. Please also get a signed copy to keep in their file. Thank you.
REGISTERS please save them! The office are waiting each morning to see who is here and chase up who is not. So please be more timely with this. Also, there has been a few instances where children are marked either in when they are out, or out when they are in - so please be careful. You can imagine the difficulties and confusion/extra work that this simple mistake would cause.

COURSE FEEDBACK A reminder for all staff that if you attend a course (even via zoom) please can you complete the online form feeding back on how useful the course was. This is our way at school of tracking the impact of any training attended and also highlights what may need sharing with other staff in the school. The link is below but can also be found as a button near the bottom of every bulletin. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScAJYp2DQ8_3IF4CbUroJyoboOayyqBkiFv_BsFl3PWQQmQmA/viewform?usp=sf_link
LADDERS Putting up a display? Please make sure you’re using ladders and not chairs and tables.
Seen anything of a CONCERN? Please fill in the appropriate form in the staff room and hand in to the office as soon as possible.
Use CPOMS to record anything that is of a concern. However, if you feel it's significant and needs to be dealt with asap, please speak to Jane or Gemma.
If you see someone in school that you don't know - without a pass - please challenge them and ask them who they are!
Make sure you're always wearing a pass!
Remind children that staff have a blue pass and visitors have a sticker.
Keep completing these online forms to feedback on courses, trips, visits and drop ins. This includes visits to other schools, collaborative groups…etc. It helps us keep an impact on any CPD that takes place.
