RISK ASSESSMENT We all have a duty to follow the risk assessment at work. Please remember to stay two metres apart from other adults, especially adults from other bubbles, and keep to no more than four people sitting for lunch in the staffroom. Thank you.
HOUSE POINTS were unfortunately not read out in assembly. Mr Haughton is kindly updating the website and the balls. Please ensure to count them and fill in the sheet in the staffroom.
IEPs If you need any further help then please let GW know. It would seem that the cast majority of IEPs have been started now. Only fill in the 'MAPP' resource for IEPs for children with an EHCP. They do not need to be filled in for general IEPs as their IEP evidence will be their record of progress.
STAFF SHOUT OUT! Thanks to Debs for the wonderful board in the staffroom. Please everyone nominate people each week. Look out for the PARK characteristics in each other and celebrate your colleagues. It has already made people smile :)
LUNCH ROTA There is a new rota in the staffroom that incorporates Reception from next week. Any questions - just ask :)
SEMH It's been a difficult year this year for our children and for us as adults too. We know that we have a lot of curriculum to get through and even catch up on and this fast pace that we are setting can take its toll. Lessons are longer and the time you spend with the children as a 'bubble' can sometimes feel 'intensive'. Because of this, we would really like to see some structured 'downtime' activities, sensory breaks, an increase in LOTC, speaking and listening opportunities, mindfulness, nurturing, team-building activities and play around the school. We want the adults to enjoy their time with the children and the children to enjoy their time at school. These sorts of activities are not to increase your workload, but rather you make sure that you take some time for yourselves as bubbles. I will try my best to support with ideas, but it could be as simple as: taking time to scrunch paper in class! Chair pushes, where you push yourself up on the chair! A classical music break! Parachute games! Deep breathing! Guided meditation! Spinning and pushing on the wall in the playground! Simon says! etc etc
READING COMP AND WISHLIST We will soon be starting a reading competition called 'ready steady listen' where children get sponsored for reading. This means that we can choose some lovely books for each class from Usborne. The catalogue is coming round, so please 'wish' for around £50 worth of books for your class. Thanks :)
STOCK CUPBOARD KEEP IT TIDY!!!!!!!! If you put something on the floor, then it doesn't live there!!! Everything has a home - put things on the shelves!!!!
THOUGHT OF THE WEEK Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? ... He's a mile away and you've got his shoes. Billy Connolly.
CURRICULUM SITE Have a read of the updated curriculum website. It's been updated considerably over the past couple of months. https://curriculum.parkfieldprimary.com/home
STAFF DEVELOPMENT There is a shortcut on staff desktops so you can easily review the minutes of staff meetings.

Use CPOMS to record anything that is of a concern. However, if you feel it's significant and needs to be dealt with asap, please speak to Jane or Gemma.
If you see someone in school that you don't know - without a pass - please challenge them and ask them who they are!
Make sure you're always wearing a pass!
Remind children that staff have a blue pass and visitors have a yellow pass.
Keep completing these online forms to feedback on courses, trips, visits and drop ins. This includes visits to other schools, collaborative groups…etc. It helps us keep an impact on any CPD that takes place.
