OPEN AFTERNOON We’ve decided against a formal open afternoon this year. As an alternative, parents are going to book onto sessions where they’ll be shown around the school.
EARLY BIRDS AND BUSY BEES If a parent requests any changes to bookings made for Early Birds of Busy Bees please send them to the office to organise. For example, if they tell you they don’t need Busy Bees that day then they will still be charged as they need to give two weeks’ notice. A reminder for parents will also be sent on today’s newsletter.
PE COACH Just a note to let you know that our PE teacher is Mrs Jenny Banks. Jenny has years of PE teaching and will cover PPA, dinner and after school clubs. This is instead of Georgina!
TWITTER Keep tweeting lots with the correct # – at the moment @AlkringtonPS and @Littleheaton are doing loads more than us! This is our way of recording the evidence from the fabulous activities that you do in class.
CPOMS Incidents must be verbally reported to the SL or DSL before being recording on CPOMS to ensure actions can be taken immediately if required to resolve any issues.
SIGN-UP SIMON Please sign him up in the mornings to help you in lessons - team teaching, group work, creating/finding resources etc. Remember that Mathletics can be used in maths lessons and that topic work can be covered during English lessons.
ABSENCE REPORTING Please ensure you have CJP’s, MK’s and KB’s phone number if you are absent. A reminder that calls are to be made before 8am so that we can plan for cover. Text messages are not acceptable.
FABULOUS FRIDAYS KS1 will be swapping at 2pm and 2:40pm. KS2 will be swapping at 1:49, 2:15 and 2:41pm. There will be a two minute warning bell for a swift change around.
TRIPS Any requests? Please send to MK so they can be approved. Remember, we are being much stricter if the cost of the trip is too much.
YELLOW AND RED CARDS need to be recorded on SIMS. Please speak to MK if you require any support.
