SUMMER BUILDINGS WORKS For info, there will be works completed over the first few weeks of the Summer holidays on the Reception classroom.
HELP NEEDED Due to the building works being completed on the Reception classroom, we need help in quickly clearing the classroom furniture and resources the day after we finish on Wednesday 21st July. Overtime payments will be made to any TAs that can come in and help. We're hoping that it will only take a full morning of moving furniture from the Reception Classroom into the hall. If you can help, please let MK know asap and thanks in advance.
EOY JOBS LIST Please be getting on with this at the moment.
COVID RISK ASSESSMENT Please continue to remain vigilant. Thank you.
REPORTS Thanks for the hard work in completing, proof reading and sending out.
STAFF MEETING TASK REMINDER All teachers were asked to find a _.3, _.5 and an _.7 piece of work to copy for the green English file along with a copy of the completed target card. Please scan and send a copy of this to Joe and GW for monitoring too. Thank you to those that have done this.
QUESTIONS around the LTP English genres and coverage? Please feel free to see Mr Barnes.
SPANISH Please remember to take your registers in Spanish! Hola! Buenos días! buenas tardes! que tengas un buen día!
THE BLUE ROOM will be used for the Busy Bee Club next year. Because of this, it will be really important to tidy the room each time you leave it so that it is left immaculate each day. The parents are paying for a professional service where the facilities that we provide need to be of a high standard. Thank you!
SIGN OF THE WEEK This weeks sign is ‘Summer’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKdIBc09MwI Wipe forehead and then mouth with hand.

CURRICULUM SITE Have a read of the updated curriculum website. It's been updated considerably over the past couple of months. https://curriculum.parkfieldprimary.com/home
RETRIEVAL PRACTICE WEBSITE Some interesting research papers and practical guidance can be found here: https://www.retrievalpractice.org/library
STAFF DEVELOPMENT There is a shortcut on staff desktops so you can easily review the minutes of staff meetings. All flipcharts shown in staff meetings are also saved on the staff drive here: O:\Staff - Meetings\Flipcharts and Resources for Staff Meetings
ZPD NUMBERS Please explain to children how they use 'decimal numbers' to check that they understand HOW to choose a book that is in their ZPD range. We will circulate a poster to be displayed near your bookshelf, which may also help any children who are struggling with decimal numbers.
LFD TESTING Please continue to take the tests and submit your results to https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result . Karen Slatford needs to know about any tests that come back as inconclusive.
TWITTER Please keep on tweeting the amazing work you're doing. It's great to see and is a quick way to demonstrate to parents and the school community the work taking place across the school.
COURSE FEEDBACK A reminder for all staff that if you attend a course (even via zoom) please can you complete the online form feeding back on how useful the course was. This is our way at school of tracking the impact of any training attended and also highlights what may need sharing with other staff in the school. The link is below but can also be found as a button near the bottom of every bulletin. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScAJYp2DQ8_3IF4CbUroJyoboOayyqBkiFv_BsFl3PWQQmQmA/viewform?usp=sf_link
LADDERS Putting up a display? Please make sure you’re using ladders and not chairs and tables.
Seen anything of a CONCERN? Please fill in the appropriate form in the staff room and hand in to the office as soon as possible.
Use CPOMS to record anything that is of a concern. However, if you feel it's significant and needs to be dealt with asap, please speak to Jane or Gemma.
If you see someone in school that you don't know - without a pass - please challenge them and ask them who they are!
Make sure you're always wearing a pass!
Remind children that staff have a blue pass and visitors have a sticker.
Keep completing these online forms to feedback on courses, trips, visits and drop ins. This includes visits to other schools, collaborative groups…etc. It helps us keep an impact on any CPD that takes place.
