- REMEMBER, REMEMBER MORNING Nicola has kindly emailed the information that you need. We look forward to seeing some exciting activities through history skills and objectives.
- PARENT'S COMMENTS I was very impressed with all the comments parents sent us in the autumn term questionnaire - https://www.parkfieldprimary.com/website/parents-views.html. As a result of the feedback, we will do the next parent's evening 3:30-6:30pm with one shorter break in the middle.
- HEALTH AND SAFETY The new H&S procedure document is now up in the staff room.
- FRIDAY FORUM is a new feature that will take place during Friday achievement assemblies. All teachers will need to attend promptly at 10.10am each week. It will be a great opportunity for CPD opportunities/monitoring/updates/book looks etc. It's also a great opportunity for subject leaders to promote updates/monitor their subjects.
- THE STOCK ROOM is now tidy. DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ELSE IN THERE AND RETURN ORIGINAL ITEMS BACK TO WHERE YOU FOUND THEM. Thank you to all the team involved in tidying it :)
- FRONT OFFICE I want to make sure the school runs effectively and this includes the office. Having only Karen available in the office over the past few months has highlighted how interruptions throughout the day affect the smooth running of the office. As a result, I would like the following changes to start immediately:
- No interruptions unless neccessary
- Toothfairy envelopes are to be kept in classes
- Plastic wallets to be sent to the office after register with all monies/slips/forms...etc. Do not send individual children.
- Orders to be completed on a school requisition form (from the staffroom) and placed in the appropriatre plastic pocket on the wall.
- IEPs are being monitored next week. Please make sure that your classes are up to date for this half term. Please move this Year's IEPs to inclusion./2019 2020/IEPs. (There are only five saved in there at the moment) Thank you!
- DROP INS took place this last week for Phonics. Thank you for the information that was able to be collated to be considered for our new Phonics Policy.
- CURRICULUM thank you for looking at the suggested new Curriculum. Please leave your feedback on the large sheets in the staff-room. Your thoughts are warmly welcomed.
- INSET Mental Health Champion training takes place again on Wednesday between 3.30 and 6.30pm. Refreshments will be provided. Please note that it is an accredited course.
- LEARNING LOGS A reminder that next half-term's tasks can be found under O:\Curriculum - Learning Logs\Learning Logs 2019-20\Autumn 2 and books should be given out by the end of the first Friday back.
- CURRICULUM OVERVIEWS Please check their content is still relevant and contains the appropriate memorable moments/BIG finishes on the curriculum site.
- LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE Please be aware that MK & GW are out next Thursday and Friday. LC and JB will deal with any immediate issues. MK is a only a phone call away for more serious issues!!
- TA1 IN Y1 We have a new supply TA1 joining us on Monday - Dawn Parkhurst.

- STAFF DEVELOPMENT There is a shortcut on staff desktops so you can easily review the minutes of staff meetings.
- PICTURE NEWS A reminder that I will be downloading these every Friday and put them into O:\Curriculum - Picture News (Weekly).

REMINDERS
- PLANNING must be saved on the staff drive. There are many gaps so please make sure that you are saving it every day/week to avoid this!
- LIBRARY Next week - 8th November is the deadline for moving the fiction books into your class libraries.
- INSET CONFIRMATION Please note that LGBT+ Awareness training has been booked for Tuesday 3rd March from 3.30 - 5.30pm. The training will be delivered by the 'Proud Trust'. I would like all staff to attend this training. The usual rule will apply for those members of staff with 5 or more years service being paid. If there are any issues, please let MK know.
- WATER BOTTLES Please could KS2 put their water bottles in a tray at the end of each day. This is so it is super quick for monitors to empty and fill them at the beginning of each day. THANK YOU!!
Inclusion
- A new 'intimate care' policy has been written recently and is available on the staff drive.
- If you have any concerns regarding IEP's please speak to Gemma asap.
Health and Safety
- LADDERS Putting up a display? Please make sure you’re using ladders and not chairs and tables.
- Seen anything of a CONCERN? Please fill in the appropriate form in the staff room and hand in to the office as soon as possible.
Safeguarding
- Use CPOMS to record anything that is of a concern. However, if you feel it's significant and needs to be dealt with asap, please speak to Jane or Gemma.
- If you see someone in school that you don't know - without a pass - please challenge them and ask them who they are!
- Make sure you're always wearing a pass!
- Remind children that staff have a blue pass and visitors have a yellow pass.
Pupil Voice
- TURTLE COMPETITION The eco council will continue monitoring the class bins for recycling. A class each will be announced as a winner with the class in the lead at the end of the each half term will get a whole class reward.
Keep completing these online forms to feedback on courses, trips, visits and drop ins. This includes visits to other schools, collaborative groups…etc. It helps us keep an impact on any CPD that takes place.
Complete this online form to request time to for subject leadership. Marc or Gemma will respond to any requests.
Link for logging incidents on CPOMS. If it's urgent - see Jane (Designated Safeguarding Lead) or Gemma (Deputy DSL) immediately. If they're not available please see MK.

✅ Review, review and review learning throughout a lesson. Keep referring back to LI and SC and how well they’re doing.
✅ Can’t think of something to write when feeding back?? Remember: QUESTION-ACTION-CHALLENGE
✅ Library days: Mon – 5/6, Tues – 3/4, Weds – 1/2, Thurs – R.
✅ Now Try…Explain why…are two great sentence starters (particularly for Maths) when feeding back.
✅ Plan time for pupils to respond to feedback – make sure you demonstrate this .
✅ Spellings should be: differentiated, linked to the writing genre if possible and taught using meaningful / fun activities.
✅ Please keep on top of marking - especially cross curricular which should also follow the marking policy.
