THANK YOU We'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you and well done for your hard work, effort, reslience and positive atttitude towards the last half term. This year is likely to be our most challenging we'll encounter in our careers and your response has been remarkable. Each and every one of us is truly on the front line and over this last few months I've been even more proud than usual of working at Parkfield and with such a brilliant team. Our attendance levels and the attitude of the children prove that even under the greatest pressures you're all doing a fantastic job with pupils wanting to come into school. Thanks to all and have a well deserved half term.
READING SPONSORSHIP Please pass the order form with the additional book requests for Usborne back to Mrs Whalen so that we can get them ordered, thank you.
HOME LEARNING Mrs Whalen and Mrs Haughton have began working together in order to facilitate a whole school consistent approach to home learning. There will be neat folders for Maths, English and Zoom links uploaded each Friday afternoon to commence the following week. Mrs Whalen will coordinate with Years 1-6 files that coincide with class teaching and upload them. If class teachers wish to add Zoom links or class slides in addition to the work set, then this is more than acceptable. Please continue to check work and feedback on a daily basis. If a child who is isolating has not engaged for 48 hours, then please inform Miss Steele. Thank you.
RISK ASSESSMENT If you have any concerns, please report it to a member of SLT. You must remember to socially distance yourself from other staff members during leisure time. Many outbreaks at other schools have been due to members of staff not social distancing so do try your best to keep your distance.
We've noticed that staff have become more relaxed about using their mobile phones within school, which is understandable when the staffroom is out of use. However, to protect yourselves, this is a reminder to not use mobile phones in the vicinity of children.
A new rule about face coverings has been unveiled this week and Mr Kemp will let the staff staff know accordingly. It involves a few members of staff having to wear a face covering to ensure they don't become contacts if we have a positive case.
APPRAISAL Thanks so much teachers for your preperations into this week's appraisals. Please ensure all paperwork is sent back to MK.
STAFFING We are goingo to have to re-advertise the TA1 post as the successful candidate has withdrawn her application following appointment.
ESPANOL Registrarse en español por favor.
TRIPS Please book more trips! Thank you.
CPOMS UPDATES We now have a couple of new 'tabs' on CPOMS where we can record 'Parental Complaints' or 'Communication Log'. These are to be completed when staff deal with anything significant. It will help us keep a record of conversations and helps communication between SLT and class teacher.
INDEPENDENT WRITING REMINDER Please photocopy an example of a marked piece of independent writing for Mrs Whalen. Thank you.
THOUGHT OF THE WEEK I would make a skeleton joke, but you wouldn't find it very humerus.
HAVE A GREAT HALF TERM - YOU DESERVE IT!
