WEEKLY PHONICS MEET UP Is today. Mrs Whalen will be visiting the Year 1 and 2 classrooms with the phonics assessments. Thank you to everyone involved in this in some way and all of your hard work.
READING SPONSORSHIP We raised over a thousand pounds with the extra top up we received! This means that we get to order lots more books! So the request sheet is heading your way again :)
PARENTS EVENING Thanks for your hard work - the evening was very successful. There is a note on the Newsletter to parents who missed their slots and what they should do next.
HOME LEARNING Children who are isolating will now be included in assemblies and receive a phone call from SLT on a Wednesday if they are isolating for the full two weeks. Please continue to add meaningful work to Showbie and let Jane know if children are not responding after 48 hours at home.
NEXT WEEK'S STAFF MEETING Is planning time :)
CONGRATULATIONS to Rebecca Grimshaw (Becky) who will be joining our Parkfield Team in Year 2.
RISK ASSESSMENT If you have any concerns, please report it to a member of SLT.
APPRAISALS Are on the calendar for next week. SH is mainly covering the morning slots and JS is mainly covering the afternoon slots.
READING TARGETS have been completed and the final versions (with the Parkfield Badge on) will be shared with everyone next week ready to be copied.
FRIDAY FLCIK thank you for attending and bringing your independent writes. The work that the children have produced is both a credit to you and them. Well done. Next: please copy a final piece of independent work for GW so that we can see your editing/marking process. We will then produce an easy to follow Parkfield document for how to edit and assess going forward as a whole school approach. Thank you for all of your hard work on this new scheme. It's really appreciated.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK Deep thought of the day: when you clean out a vacuum cleaner, you become a vacuum cleaner.
CURRICULUM SITE Have a read of the updated curriculum website. It's been updated considerably over the past couple of months. https://curriculum.parkfieldprimary.com/home
STAFF DEVELOPMENT There is a shortcut on staff desktops so you can easily review the minutes of staff meetings.

Use CPOMS to record anything that is of a concern. However, if you feel it's significant and needs to be dealt with asap, please speak to Jane or Gemma.
If you see someone in school that you don't know - without a pass - please challenge them and ask them who they are!
Make sure you're always wearing a pass!
Remind children that staff have a blue pass and visitors have a yellow pass.
Keep completing these online forms to feedback on courses, trips, visits and drop ins. This includes visits to other schools, collaborative groups…etc. It helps us keep an impact on any CPD that takes place.
